It's the most wonderful time of the year....

Holy Crap!!! We
only have 55 days until Christmas!!

Can you believe it?

So just to get the season started off right, here is an example of a Christmas decoration NOT to use...

How freaky are these little elves??
Please do not put these on y
our front lawn..you will scare small children and Santa!!

Really now,
who thinks these are ju
st adorable & completely evocative of the Christmas Season? If any of you say yes, I am going to call my friends with the white coats!

Sorry, but even the picture scares me!!

You know, I really need to find more stores that have Lay~a~way, or Baby Roca isn't going to get many gifts this year.
Hopefully someone who visits this blog of mine will click on one of my ads & buy something so I can make some $$!! Baby needs a new pair of shoes!!!

Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat
Please to put a penny in the old man's hat
If you haven't got a penny, a ha'penny will do
If you haven't got a ha'penny
Then God Bless You.
God Bless You!

~~Miss Piggy, from John Denver & the Muppets Christmas
I love that CD (my family actually had it on 8~track when I was growing up! I am so old!). We play it every year at Christmas, along with a few other traditions handed down by my family. I have added a couple of new ones myself. For example, every year we change our answering machine message a couple of times during December. We start off with "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" (Hubby & my Moms hate it). We even did that before we had Ro; now its even funnier!! Then we put on Eartha Kitt singing "Santa Baby" & finally Annie Lennox & (I can't remember his name) singing "Put A Little Love In Your Heart".

I love Christmas. What traditions, new or old, do you have at Christmastime & why? Let me know, by leaving a comment below.

OK, this post is a little disjointed & off-kilter, but the virus that just won't die has reared it's ugly head again & I am on cold meds! As you know, I am a little bit left of center already!(Sorry...LOL)

Happy Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas!

I hope you feel better really, really soon!! Mommies don't get sick! We suck it up and carry on....it's in the Mommy Contract. Darn that fine print anyhow!!!!

Sending you Chicken Soup Thoughts!!!

We watch the Muppet Christmas Carol and that other one...the BB Gun one ("You'll shoot your eye out") on Christmas eve. Totally brain farting on the name now and it's gonna bug me allll night now, lol! We also have that Muppet Carol CD that we listen to while setting up the tree. I'm usually cussing under my breath trying to detangle last year's lights at the time. Fun times, fun times!

A Christmas Story is one of my all time favorites, mostly because my Dad loved it SO much. But I do love it, too.

I thought i was the only one who liked The Muppets Christmas! Glad to know I am not alone! LOL

And no, we aren't supposed to get sick, are we? We take care of every one else, who takes care of us? It is draining to take care of my little spitfire & be sick at the same time...OY!!

I do the same thing about titles, etc. It will drive me up a wall until i get it! Come by and visit again soon. :P
