Just Another Wordless Wednesday...

I decided to post this video from our trip to the beach last month because clearly Mother Nature can't decide whether it is Summer or Autumn here in SoCal. It is going to be almost 90* today. While most of you are getting snow or some other kind of cool weather, I am stuck in a house with no central air and no insulation. All this while The Diva has a double ear infection {The first ear infection of her life}. Yep, ain't life with children just grand sometimes?

Yo, Mother Nature? Go get some damn Midol and make it Fall already. This heat thing is getting on my last effing nerve! One day it's cold the next day it's boiling. Make up your damn mind, you moody assed wench!

Excuse me now while I go sit in the corner and melt...

I want to introduce you to one of my favorite places to get desktop wallpapers and images, VladStudio.com. He is extremely talented and I have found quite a few blog designers that use his images. Look at how awesome his art is!

Just Another Wordless Wednesday...

Remember how I was worried that The Diva wouldn't make any friends in school and that she would end up being the sensitive, hall monitor child no one wanted to play with?

Well, I give you The 3 Musketeers...

After only a couple of days of school, they were fast friends. Every morning when they see each other, they hug and say "I love you! I missed you!" It is truly priceless. Alyssa is the tiniest little girl...really just a sprite of a thing...with blue eyes and beautiful red hair. Leslie and The Diva are similar in height and are the two tallest in the class. {The Diva is slightly taller than Leslie} Aren't they all just adorable?

Obviously my motherly fears were unfounded. Although her teacher does realize exactly what a smart {And smart ass} girl she is, and believe me, The Diva has tested her and the aides! I hope these girls get to go to the same kindergarten as Miss Ro. If not, I think she might be devastated. I am already thinking of what The Diva will give her fellow Musketeers for Christmas and fun things I can have for them at her birthday party...in MARCH!

Longing for Autumn...

My favorite seasons are Fall and Winter. This is the time of year that I start dreaming about crisp, cool days, chilly nights and wishing we lived somewhere that actually had four seasons. In SoCal we have three seasons, hot as hell, windy as hell combined with fire season and freeze your nipples off cold {also combined with windy as hell}

The leaves don't change here, they just get blown off in mid-January by the Santa Ana winds. A week later there are new green buds on the tree. Oh, how I long for a real Autumn and a snowy Winter.

The Diva's bed is right in front of this window. Can you imagine what would have happened if it wasn't a dual pane window? **shudder**

I just love having neighbors close enough that a 4 year old can do this kind of damage to my house.
