Asylum Announcements: Yeah, I Suck. I Know.

Hey there, Inmates! I have a couple of things I want to let you know about today. So take your meds, get your beverage of choice and settle in for a couple of minutes.

First, today, October 24, 2009, will not be another edition of Shan's Week~End Wordles. We are doing it on Sunday this time.

The Diva has a double ear infection and I'm exhausted. I had to keep her home two days this week and the medications are making her act up a bit. She is on a very strong antibiotic, prednisone and cough syrup. The combination of which makes her hyper {More than usual, anyway}, tired and starving one minute and refusing to eat the next.

So yes, I'm one tired Mama. My Husband has also been working 12 hour shifts this week, and I, along with The Diva, have to take him to and from work because his carpool buddy had his schedule temporarily changed. Lord, we need a second car. And the money to buy it. Oh, Publisher's Clearing House Guy, why must you keep lying and taunting me with your promises of a big fat check?

OY!

See you all Sunday. At least now you have an extra day to refine your Wordle posts.

First, todday, October 17, 2009, will be another edition of Shan's Week~End Wordles, it will just not be up until late afternoon/early evening. The combination of me getting The Diva's sick, Mother Nature not being able to decide whether it is Summer or Autumn here in SoCal and Ro getting stickers from school that are the exact color I cannot look at has given me yet another migraine. I need to sleep it off in a dark, cold room. I'm sorry about this guys. I'm only one person and my Husband certainly can't do it for me. LOL

Hey there, Inmates! I have a couple of things to let you know about today. So take your meds, get your beverage of choice and settle in for a few minutes.

First, today, October 3, 2009, will NOT be another edition of Shan's Week~End Wordles. It will be on Sunday, October 4, 2009 instead. I'm too tired and too sick to do it right now. I need to rest. If you want to get a post all ready for Sunday, then go here for instructions on how to participate.

Second, I want to let you know about World Habitat Day{Habitat For Humanity} on Monday, October 5, 2009 {This is an cause I wholeheartedly support}. Please stand up for every person in this world who does not have adequate housing.

How many people do you know that live in substandard housing and pay through the nose for it? How many people do you know that live in a bad neighborhood because they can't afford the good ones? This is part of the problem, in my opinion. But compared to other parts of the world, we have it pretty damn good here in the U.S. of A.

We all deserve to have this basic need met at an affordable price and in a decent neighborhood. Please help!

Please go visit the World Habitat site for more information on this cause. This really should be a priority of our government. There is no reason for anyone to be homeless in this day and age.

Please participate in some way on Monday, October 5, 2009 in World Habitat Day. Spread the word. Donate time. Donate money if you can. Just please, do something!

Just a quick note...

Shan's Week~End Wordles will take place on SUNDAY this week. I have a horrible migraine and need to take my meds and sleep it off. This week has been very stressful and no, it's not because of my Blog Trolls.

Life, sometimes, gets ahead of us and we have to pull back a bit and rest.

Now you all have an extra day to prepare your posts.

Please also note that the fundraiser donate button does not show the actual amount raised because I did not get the ChipIn widget until this past Wednesday night. It was installed at midnight {Technically it was Thursday morning}. All contributions received since then are showing in the tally. All previous contributions are not.

This is in no way an attempt to deceive anyone, but rather to fix the temperamental PayPal donate button that I made, so that there will be no further problems with people trying to contribute to the cause. The actual tally is $145 raised since May 14, 2009 {Special thanks to the OCHA riding squirrels loving guy for sending a bit of design work my Big Bro's way, which made him feel useful for a bit. :) I didn't count that in the tally because it was for a "job"}!
