So Wednesday, all day Wednesday, I was trying to do our taxes. Online. With an Internet connection that takes a royal dump on me every 5-10 minutes. This is so friggin' annoying! I was also on the phone with the IRS and the Franchise Tax Board. Back and forth. All day long, trying to get the information I needed to complete the taxes that they were supposed to send me THREE months ago! While dealing with The Diva, a crappy ghetto Wi-Fi Internet connection,
My eyes have finally stopped bleeding from being glued to the PC all day, but my brain is still itching. We owe the IRS money, but are getting money back from the state. Woo Freaking Hoo! I still want to know when "voluntary" income taxes became "mandatory" or as a friend emailed me "the payment of the income taxes is mandatory, the calculation and submission of the forms is voluntary." Really, now? Then how come the IRS and State can fine you for failing to file and impose late filing/payment penalties? The system is broken and needs to be fixed.
The Prez, with his magical, mystical Obama Bucks tree, {that only he can see} which is guarded by Unicorns and Griffins, and is where he gets all the money for the endless Stimulus Packages...oh wait, that's all wrong, he gets the money from us wee peasants and our children and our children's children, but I digress... Obama needs to get out of his Socialist/Marxist fantasy world and get this shit fixed. NOW. If he doesn't, we are all going to hell in a hand basket {Well, I'm going there anyhow, I would just like some more intelligent company...}!
