I am so OVER Little Bear, Wow! Wow! Wubzy, The Wonder Pets, Yo Gabba Gabba, Charlie & Lola & Little Einsteins! I get the theme songs stuck in my head & they just won't go away!! And she has to watch them over & over again...ad nauseam! UUUGGHHH!!!!
We were just in Target the other night & looked in the toy dept.....we are so screwed for Christmas this year. There are at least 8 new Little Einsteins toys (Ro's favorite) and they aren't exactly cheap! She saw them, she wants them (Not that she gets everything she sees, mind you.).
My husband looked at me & said "You had better get a job, Lady!" LOL "Yeah and how am I supposed to do that, honey? We have no babysitter & one vehicle. You work a mid shift & don't know from day to if you will have OT or not, much less how LONG you will have to work OT. Try to get a babysitter/daycare/preschool to agree to that!" Alas, he doesn't get that it will likely cost us MORE for me to work outside the home, than to just stay here & raise our daughter until she starts kindergarten....
My prime example: The preschools/daycares I have checked out average about $179/week, no matter if you need part-time or full-time care. So, really, what is the point? I would love to bring an income into our household again, just not a) at the expense of our daughter's well being and b) if it is going to put us in the hole even more than we already are.
Men just don't ever see the big picture, only what's right in front of them (tunnel vision). I will never, for the life of me, understand this. Maybe it is some hunter-gatherer gene/instinct left over from their Neanderthal incarnation that hasn't evolved it's way out yet....
What I do know is that it is annoying as hell & if I thought a good swift kick to the nuts would remedy this male character flaw, I would gladly put on my steel toe boots and start punting away!
I am, however, really hoping to get a job through/on the Internet that I can do from home, but everything I have found so far is a scam. If anyone out there knows of something legitimate, please let me know.
