Oh, Wait! 3-8???

Today is my 38th birthday. WOW! I cannot believe I am this age. Why just a few short hours ago I was only 37! This can only mean one thing {well, actually many things, but I am just going to talk about one for now}, The Diva is about to turn 4 years old. I am starting to wonder where the time went. It seems like just yesterday I gave birth to her and now she is a preschooler! Oh my, how time flies!

Realizing my baby's age got me thinking about my own journey these last 38 years and I thought I would share it with you all through pictures.

38 years ago today, I looked like this...

About 35 years ago, I looked like this...

About 34 years ago, I looked like this...

20 years ago, I looked like this...
{Yes, that is my Husband with more hair (Prom 1989). What a baby face he had then!}

4 years ago, I looked like this...
{This was at my baby shower. That is me and one of my best friends, Sarah}

Today, I look like this...
{Yes, I know I need to get my roots done. And yes, I took these myself in my bathroom.}

I thought about doing a philosophical post and imparting some of my hard earned wisdom garnered from the path my life has taken, but that could be a very long, drawn out entry and would likely leave you scrambling to figure out where I live so you could call the men in the white coats to come get me! I will only say this, the one thing I have learned is that there is a lesson in everything that happens to you. You either learn the lesson the first time, or you will keep getting slammed until you do {in the most loving, Godly way, of course}!

Never forget that love is the greatest thing in this world. Love your God, your family and friends with your whole heart. To do anything less is to cheat yourself and those around you out of the truth of who you are.

Happy Birthday kiddo.

Jeeze we lived in a lot of houses when you were little.

You were pretty cute, except for the "sauce pan to Kevin's head" incident.

Oh, and the "Shannon ate comet but had the manners to pour it in a pudding cup first" affair.

Your daughter's favorite uncle!!

Your husband, what's his nationality?
I'm just curious, he sort of looks like a mexican to me.
Correct me if I'm wrong. ^_^

Happy Birthday!!!

That's so cool you have all those pictures of yourself. There's only two or three of my brother and me. The rest were destroyed in a flood. :(

Well I'm a little late ......... Happy Belated Birthday!

I sure hope it was a great day. So much better than those that have come before, but not as good as those that are yet to be.

Look at each birthday as the present that it is - another year you were able to touch the lives of those around you and be touched by them.

I just LOVE the Springfield pix!! I just want to be Jessie's girl so I could go back to him! Happy Birthday a few days late. Enjoy your 4 year old. How quickly they turn 5, 6, 7, etc. My little one is 5 and I'm already dreading kindergarten next year. It just doesn't seem possible.
