I got this horrible comment on my last post. I will not post it here but you can click the link to read it, if you choose.
This disgusting pervert commented "anonymously". He must be very ashamed of who he is to do this. This is a Mommy Blog. I write about my family, my beautiful daughter, my husband and my life. How he found my blog, I do not know, but for him to take a post about my baby getting my sarcasm gene and leave that kind of comment just shows how sick, perverted and disgusting he truly is.
I discipline my child. I spank her as a consequence to some of her actions. I am trying to raise a good, compassionate, God-fearing, Christian, moral human being. Giving my child rules, and making her follow them, does not make me an abusive parent nor does it mean my child is going to grow up to be a pervert.
I wonder if this person is a parent or not. I feel sorry for his kids if he is though. What I do know is if you don't have the cahones to post your name, then you are a coward. He targeted my child, or at least that's how I feel right now. It is abhorrent. I wish he had left his name so that I could report him, but that is not how people like that work.
I am debating on whether or not to block anonymous users from commenting on my site. My friend Jeannie says I should, but my husband says I will lose traffic if I do. I just don't know. I will not stop blogging, but I need to find a way to prevent things like this from happening again.
And this incident is making me even more freaked out because I recently read this article and the follow up over at MomDot.com. There are some truly sick people out there and it is seemingly becoming harder and harder to protect our children and ourselves from them. It makes me scared and very sad.
