I Know My Blog Looks Like Crap...

My awesome, and very talented, blog designer is having server issues, apparently. And since all of my blog's images are hosted on her server, they are not loading because of that {or at least that is what the automated response email told me}. I'm sorry about this. There is nothing I can do about it.

This is just the cherry on the cake that is my crappy day. I am feeling like such a big fat failure right now. I can't even get many people to enter my raffle. It is for a very good cause. Really, it is. And you get a beautiful premade template by April Showers Blog Design just for a tiny $3 donation. Plus you get put into a raffle for a CUSTOM blog make over by April Showers and a giveaway for a handmade gift by Queenie Jeannie's Card Boutique {Jeannie's Happy World}.

But nobody either believes I'm legit {Except those who have already donated. I love you all so much for that} or they can't seem to part with $3, even for a good cause. I know the economy sucks eggs for almost everyone right now. I get that. It just really hurts when you put so much effort into something and it fails miserably.

It feels like a reflection on my blog and who I am as a person when all you get are crickets. I even basically got called a scammer on a NING site I belong to, without even any investigation about my legitimacy! I have only raised $186 of the $1200 goal and I am running out of time.

It's not like the $3 is just gone after you donate. You get your choice of two premade color changing blogger layouts. They are way cool and perfect for those of you with blog design ADD.

And I got two articles published at MomDot.com! WOO HOO, right? I was so excited. But I haven't gotten a single comment on them. Not one. Do I really suck that bad?

Oh, well. This was my bitchmoangroan post. Thank you for reading. I will be back to my normal snarky, insane sarcasm later this week. Or tomorrow. Or something...

It's A Contest! It's A Raffle! It's A Fundraiser!

In an effort to rejuvenate interest in the fundraiser for my Big Bro, {Who is about to lose his apartment due to the loss of BOTH of his jobs within TWO weeks of each other} and to help me reach my goal of raising $1200 to help him NOT become homeless, {Current tally is at $75}, Miss April of April Showers Blog Designs has generously donated her services to my cause.

This is no small feat, considering how completely slammed she has been for the last few months. But that is what happens when you are as talented as she is, you become "in demand", and boy is she ever! {Go here to see the amazing castle she made for Queenie Jeannie}

I Need 300 People...

OK, it's getting down to the wire here. I am reposting about the fundraiser for my Big Bro. I know times are, well, pretty sucky right now. I get that, but if I can get 300 people to donate $2-5 each, I can make my goal. I just want to help my Big Bro NOT become homeless and another statistic/victim of this bad economy. He lives in Alabama, I live in SoCal, so it's not like he can just come stay with me for a while until he gets back on his feet.

He just took every dime he made from a recent website design and gave it to his apartment manager to show "good faith" that he was, in fact, trying to get his rent taken care of. Alas, it was not enough and now he has no money for food or gas, much less utilities, and the ax is perched to fall on him very, very soon. He is trying to find a job, but where he lives, jobs are hard to come by right now. It really is a horrible feeling when you lose BOTH your jobs within TWO weeks of each other.

Please, I really need your help. He is a fellow blogger. He has a right wing political blog called Hard Reset. He is one of us. I have seen this beloved blogging community come together and make miracles for other worthy causes in the past, do you think we could do it again for one of our own? He actually has far too much pride to ask for help himself, but I was convinced that this awesome blogging community could pull it off.

I have raised $45 in two weeks {You have no idea how incredibly grateful I am for those donations. These people were completely selfless and gave what they could. They ROCK!}. My goal is $1200. Please, can you spare a couple of bucks for a really good cause? Just click on the "donate button" at the end of this post.

I have nothing to offer you but my {and my Big Bro's} undying gratitude. I do not have anything to raffle off or giveaway. I am just a Little Sister trying to do some good for the Big Brother I love so dearly. Please could you help out in any way?
