Hi guys! Sorry it took me so long to get this done, but The Diva started this past week~end with what turned out to be a double ear infection. OY! She has never had an ear infection before in her life! And of course, now Daddy is sick. I guess I should be glad it wasn't me again, huh?

POND'S Wet Cleansing Towelettes Review And Giveaway {Closed}

A few weeks ago, I was asked to review the new POND'S Wet Cleansing Towelettes. I was sent the Original Clean Formula to test out. I was a little worried about testing them on myself because I have very sensitive skin and psoriasis around my hairline and on certain areas of my face, but it didn't turn out all that badly.

However, I think the Age Defying version would have worked much better for me, as the Original Clean was a wee bit too drying. Or better yet, a formula made especially for sensitive skin. Unfortunately for moi, POND'S does not have a sensitive version available at this time.

Product details:

There are three formulations of POND'S Wet Cleansing Towelletes, Original Clean, Age Defying and Micro Dermabrasion. Unless you have extremely sensitive skin like me, I think you will be able to find a version that works well for you.

POND'S believes in their product so much, that they have instated a POND'S Superior Clean… Guaranteed! "warranty" that will reimburse you if POND'S Wet Cleansing Towelettes do not perform as promised. So what do you have to lose?

I did find some other interesting and unusual uses for the towelletes {Would you expect anything less from me?}...

I used them to clean my daughter's face and legs when I couldn't find the wipes {Kids get dirt in weird places sometimes} and they worked quite nicely! They did not irritate her at all, as so many other soaps do.

One day, we were running late for a family gathering, and noticed I seemed a wee bit, uh, ripe, shall we say? So I used the POND'S Wet Cleansing Towelettes to take a quick "sponge bath" and it worked very well. LOL I smelled fresh as a daisy when I jumped in that pool! I have also used them to clean The Diva's hands, get some strange stain out of her shirt and clean her leather sandals. I like things that are multitaskers.

My review...

Pros:

• Convenient
• Easy to use
• Pleasant scent
• Cleanses well
  

Cons:

• The Original Clean Formula was a bit drying on my skin
• The resealable package did not stay sealed well once the product was less than half full, so the towelettes dried out
• POND's needs to come out with a formulation for sensitive skin.

Overall, I would recommend this product to everyone. Just make sure you get the correct formulation for your particular skin type. POND'S has been around forever {My Mom used to use the cream to remove her make-up} and is a widely trusted brand. The website states that POND'S Wet Cleansing Towelettes remove 40% more dirt and make-up than Olay's towelettes, according to a clinical study conducted in February, 2009.

Margaritas: Asylum Style

I am doing this for the $50 gift certificate:

My Margarita {Mamarita} recipe:

1 package sliced, frozen, unsweetened strawberries

Powdered sugar

Ice cubes

Jose Cuervo Especial Tequila

Blender

Add ice, strawberries and enough Tequila to cover the ice into blender. Blend. Add powdered sugar to taste. Blend again. Taste. Adjust to your preference, pour into glass. Enjoy.

I do need to confess how COMPLETELY clueless I truly am ...When Jeannie first posted this giveaway back in December {I think...} I entered to win these amazing earrings. Obviously I didn't win then. So when she announced that the original winner had given her a bad address, the package came back to her and she was re~doing the giveaway, I of course entered again. Wouldn't you? These earrings are gorgeous! When I saw the announcement of the winner this morning and it said Shannon, I really was not at all sure that she meant MOI.

First, I have entered nearly every contest in the blogosphere in the last couple of months {I even stayed hooked to my PC nearly ALL day and half the night for Merry SITSmas} and I have not won anything. Second, I go by Shan or babyrocasmama on the webby {Shannon is my given name, but only people who personally know me actually know that AND most of my friends call me Shan}. Third there is another blogger named Shannon floating around the bloggy world and she frequents a lot of the same sites that I do.

So imagine my surprise when Jeannie wrote me back saying that yes, it was indeed MOI that had won her contest. I never win anything. I was so elated, I did the happy dance in my chair and giggled like a little girl!

When my husband got home from work, I showed him the post and a picture of what I had won. I wanted to show him my first spoils from blogging...His reaction was "So, in a way you got sloppy seconds {said totally deadpan}." Want to know my response to him?
